My Promo for "Bat, of the BloodStar"
An example of an Anime or Manga ad
in Adobe Flash.

Finally after 3-1/2 hours of experimentation... I came up with a "Promo" for BloodStar.  It is comprised entirely of content created solely by me.  I have to say that I found it far easier to work with AnimeStudio Pro and Adobe Flash CS3 Pro with the addition of PhotoShop 7.0.  (You could use 5.5 as well) and Premiere 6.0.  The drawing tools in Adobe Flash CS3 Pro... well lets say I could get better results with the MSWin Paint app.( ! ) and for the money you pay (for Pro the price is around $700.00(US), that BITES! AnimeStudio just takes time to get used to. It is (in the Pro Version) fully featured such that it allows for a lot of very quick assemblage !  I was able to do drawings very quickly for the intervening 'splash' and the end 'poster' in PhotoShop.  I played with the sequencing in Monkey Jam, which I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that anybody working with animation (or wanting to use sequencing in Manga as well) should get.
I used AnimeStudio as my workspace, and was able to, upon completion of the timeline - create both and .anme (AnimeStudio file) and from AnimeStudio also create an .avi (windows media video file).  It was as easy as using the exporting options . . . use the defaults for your initial experiments until you feel more comfortable with the software.  The Premiere is nice to have, however, I think that unless you are going for serious sound and video and editing, you don't really need it as long as you have PhotoShop or theGIMP and AnimeStudio Pro (Flash CS3 Pro is a really nice addition too!).  One more tool I would recommend is: Total Video Converter.   With TVC software you can create almost any conversion of video file type!

Now back to the point of this example . . .
I did this to back up my claim in a review of AnimeStudio on Amazon.com I wrote, to show that it is true you could use AnimeStudio (Pro or Debut) to create a broadcast quality video.
SO it's not perfect... that is not the fault of the software, I was getting tired and it was time for my Saturday night anime time!
Yes, I not only own the software, I use it ! ! !
I could have done the entire thing in AnimeStudio Pro for the presentation, I was just wanting to see how far I could go with my software assortment employing as much as I could in a short time; and I did it!
Now if this dummy can do it, just think what you can do.
And 'Yes' I am promoting products.  Why not?  If they get folks out of their dreamstate and into creating, . . Darn straight! ! !  I have links to the various softwares mentioned on other pages around my site.  I will periodically check the links to these products so they remain updated, if I miss one just do a web search using the product name (make sure you go to the company's site... lotta frauds out there!)

Oh, one P.S., the use of ( . . . ) by me is meant to illustrate how I am 'speaking' as I write, who'd a thunk it (as they say up here in Minnesota) I actually 'cartoon' my writing !
I think I am going to do a total of three examples (if I can fit the code all together..!) on this page eventually: the Flash presentation, an .avi file, and a straight from the product .anme file (downloadable to AnimeStudio Debut or Pro by users of the software.) I want to do an animated scene as well with bone construction and set design so a person can pick it apart and use it for learning. The 'bone thing - to - body thing' seems to be the biggest hang along with timing for folks.
I also have a strong interest in VRML ( which is also known now as X3D ) and will be putting up a page with .wrl files and links to a viewer you can download.  The viewer is CosmoPlayer 2.01, which was made by a company no longer supporting the software.  I will also be putting up a download for 'Netscape Navigator 3.01' and the 'Xj3D' viewer, since it seems to be dead in the water as well... Both will allow you to create and view amazing three dimensional worlds that are rather simple to create.  And X3D will work with .wrl (.wrz) files as well.  The entire specification for VRML and X3D is on the W3C website.  and with tools like AnimeStudio, MangaStudio, Flash and even just .avi files you can have more fun than a barrel of monkeys ! ! !
