Instructions for preparing to meet the future President of the United States of America:

First: VOLUNTEER FOR NATIONAL SERVICE!!!
To your community
To your state
To your nation!
To your fellow man!

We must do more than hope with matters of national law and the damage to the Constitutional guarantees we have been forced to endure some 8 years now! We must do more than hope with matters of health care, housing, employment and the building of our national infrastructure... not to mention the building back up of our industrial strength.

We must do more than hope with matters pertaining to education and the ability of all children to excel far past what we have seen of the levels achieved recently, and assure that the education they receive is the most pertinent and advanced available on this planet Earth!
The steep divide we have seen created by those that hold MONEY as the only thing sacred and those that seek a decent living, a peaceful place to raise their families, educate their children and a place of respect among their peers in this nation of natives and immigrants,.. This divide must be erased if not eliminated.  Something has to be done to negate the 'wage slave state' we confront.  We must to the best of our human ability eliminate homelessness in this nation.  and 'poverty' must become ONLY something that in reality a person takes on 'by choice'(like a religious 'vow of poverty') and not something that is foisted upon the individual by civil or societal action!
We must now take this momentous time and use it to put America back on track with technology, sciences, education and environmental progress... AND we must bring back the entrepeneurial spirit in this nation to encourage new industry and new innovation to keep our species AS A WHOLE alive and well and progressively building a future for our kind and the fellow inhabitants of this planet... All species must be given their place in this grand experiment in this galaxy.  This is not fantasy, this is not too grand a scheme, it is the HOPE... the HOPE of those that see much more to humanity than those who demean and bring out only the worst in people, and who care only for their own gain and avarice!

HOPE HAS BEEN RESTORED!  Hope for this nation,  hope for Humanity,  hope for those who thought we were down for the count!  HOPE FOR THE PLANET!
As one American to my fellow Americans, all I can say is that it is a HOPE, because WE have to work together the way our parents and grandparents and their forebearers did to restore the respect of this nation, and the prospect this nation represented as the way of the future... This has been missing for way more than 8 years!
It has been missing for over 40 years!

Last evening I was watching the election results and they came to the gathering in Grant Park.  There among the many colored spectrum of faces was one face I remembered well, Jesse Jackson.  He like many was in tears,.. I couldn't hold it any more... I was wishing one thing at that moment that I could be there not so much to see Barak speak, but to run up and give Jesse a big hug and say: "Hey, guess what?  It took 40 years!!!  But here it is!!!  This was our dream Jesse, the one you brought forth to us in all those times when the world seemed so against us all, Black, White, Chicano, Asian, whoever was trying to make the Rainbow Coalition a reality,.. and HERE IT IS!  We did it JESSE!  WE DID IT!

But it is only the beginning... WE HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO!
